A little about me.
- I go by Mo.
- I ran the 2021 Chicago Marathon as a St. Jude Hero.
- I was born in Esfahan, Iran.
- My last name in Persian is written as آرون. The first letter, آ, can lose its tilde and become ا, which can be read as a, e, o, or aa. The third letter, و, can be read as va, ve, vo, or simply dropped as o. That alone gives 16 possible pronunciations. Then people sometimes add letters that aren’t there, pushing the count even higher. I’ve heard ‘em all.
- According to the largest Persian dictionary, Dehkhoda, my last name means good virtue or quality.
